Found the problem, Dave. The scripts to fire were sitting on a Windows server. When moved to Linux they fired. Funny thing is - phpscheduler is sitting in the Windows server and everything fires manually.

I can now move on the final part of jigsaw.

Now if only.....

Cheers

Ok Back to drawing board.

The script itself has just fired itself. So part is working ok.

Are you using the full url?
Or implicit url?

Full URL
And does it run OK when added as a normal job?

Yes. All tested before I started working on new addition.

Should have mentioned that in logs there is no output.

Addition to job schedule

I want to be able to add a specific date to the job schedule and have added an extra field to the Jobscheduler table and extra code to phpjobscheduler.php page. The script runs great and updates the table as expected - problem is page that I want to fire doesn't run. Page itself runs if fired manual...

So all is good.

Have a great weekend.

Hi Dave As a first step I have installed the lates version - although it couldn't create a config file. I have now added revised files to be triggered and will see how that goes. Failing that, I will upload the whole thing to Linux server. Not due to fire now until Sat so will catch up on Monday. Ch...

Hi guys

Long time no speak.
Just added jobscheduler to new site - WIndows server. Doesn't appear to change the time after firing. In fact, if I modify the time interval it seems to take the reference from initial start.

What have I missed?

Cheers

All sorted.

I just amended the config.inc.php file. Have test run and it appears to be working fine.

I'll now set up phpjobscheduler, to do fire the programme.

Cheers

installation and host name

Am I being daft? Well no more than usual. After a near disaster when I updated an entire table instead of just one row, I decided that I had better install this backup programme instead of havingto rely on the hosting company (who were actually very good). I am setting up the run.php page but can fi...

sorry took so long to respond to your reply.

I had kinda guessed what the error message was. Just wondered if you had any idea why. I'll try the html message in the header and see how we get on. the site only has a couple of html (home page is php).

Thanks again

Re: Now released under GPL License - free to use

[quote="davidgwalker"]Hi Ian, You say you are using version 2.0, there is a new version: http://dwalker.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1817 When I opened the page with include file I got following message: <b>Warning</b>: chdir(): No such file or directory (errno 2) in <b>/vhost/vhost3/r/e/c/...

I have just uploaded the new version. easy peasy. Looks a lot simpler than version 2. Thanks. As the new site is based on php I will put the includes script in the header file and that way we will maximise the number of times it can be accessed. I will also have a wee look at the mailer thingy. It i...

Hadn't realised that.

Things hectic and new site is proving challenging (particularly session variables!!!).

Trust you are fit.
