have new website as sister to original and need phpjobscheduler.

Have uploaded freshly unzipped V2 but obtain error message-

/functions.php has expired or is corrupt.

So what have I forgotten to do?

New site is Apache Redhat php 4.3.2

Hi Ian,

Hope you are well.

You say you are using version 2.0, there is a new version:

Cheers

Thanks David

Hadn't realised that.

Things hectic and new site is proving challenging (particularly session variables!!!).

Trust you are fit.

Fit as a fiddle!! Well as much as a middle aged fiddle can get....

If you are creating a new site (or even updating an existing one) you should ensure your code stops the silly spammers utilising the PHP mail injection exploit.

This is a major issue but is relatively simple to correct, see the free code here:
http://thedemosite.co.uk/phpformmailer/

Hope it helps

Dave.

I have just uploaded the new version. easy peasy.
Looks a lot simpler than version 2.
Thanks.

As the new site is based on php I will put the includes script in the header file and that way we will maximise the number of times it can be accessed.

I will also have a wee look at the mailer thingy. It is now on my list of to do's.

Keep up the good work.

Cheers

[quote="davidgwalker"]Hi Ian,

You say you are using version 2.0, there is a new version:
http://dwalker.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1817

When I opened the page with include file I got following message:

<b>Warning</b>: chdir(): No such file or directory (errno 2) in <b>/vhost/vhost3/r/e/c/recruiters-online.co.uk/www/phpjobscheduler/firepjs.php</b> on line <b>22</b><br />
<br />
<b>Warning</b>: main(phpjobscheduler.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in <b>/vhost/vhost3/r/e/c/recruiters-online.co.uk/www/phpjobscheduler/firepjs.php</b> on line <b>23</b><br />
<br />
<b>Warning</b>: main(): Failed opening 'phpjobscheduler.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/share/pear') in <b>/vhost/vhost3/r/e/c/recruiters-online.co.uk/www/phpjobscheduler/firepjs.php</b> on line <b>23</b><br />
it doesn't appear to be recognising the phpjobscheduler.php.

I even did a test by circumventing the chdir but same error.

What have I missed? permissions on pjsfiles are 755

Cheers

Hi Ian,

The error message shows it can not find the relevant paths/files.

Try using the HTML method:

    add to the END of an existing HTML file, for example to your index.html home page (and/or any other relevant page in the root directory):

    <img src="phpjobscheduler/phpjobscheduler.php?return_image=1" width="1" height="1">

    Adding the above img tag will add a very small clear image to your page - almost invisible.

Cheers

sorry took so long to respond to your reply.

I had kinda guessed what the error message was. Just wondered if you had any idea why. I'll try the html message in the header and see how we get on. the site only has a couple of html (home page is php).

Thanks again

Ian

Hi Ian,

No problem, you can add the html to the end of any PHP file and enter the full url as the src like this:

<img src="http://your--site.com/phpjobscheduler/phpjobscheduler.php?return_image=1" width="1" height="1">

So the call to the script could be from any web site your like.

Cheers
