Could PHP scheduler do this?

Hey Guys,

This is what i want to do.

I have a table in a database. In that table, there is a list of dates (year, month, day) and times. (hours and minutes). Beside each date and time there is a, lets say message.

What i want, is for at the particular date and time, as per the rows in the Database, i want that message to be emailed to my email address.

Now my question is, could PHP scheduler be used to check the database every minute, for the row or rows corresponding to the current date and time, and email the message off accordingly, by the use of a php script.

I know this sounds slightly vague, but is this possible?

Thanks a million,

Hi Dick,

Certainly PHP can be coded to complete that and more, and ultimately have phpJobScheduler fire the task each day or hour.

If you require assistance with the PHP coding you could try:

Thanks for that.

Yeah i can code the PHP myself. I am just looking for a timed service that can run the php script regularly, to do the db queries and therefore the associated work.

Thanks again.
