tables to backup: phpAMA, phpBB, osCommerce, phpJobScheduler

Postby davidgwalker » Sun Jun 18, 2006 8:08 pm

Using the new version 0.3.x allows for the backup of separate tables.

Below are the table names and syntax you need to enter for each application.

THIS IS THE MINIMUM REQUIRED TO BACKUP EACH APPLICATIONS DATABASE.

NOTE: you should already have a full backup of ALL the tables for each application, the lists below are the table names which will contain the newest data (records that are added and/or change each day).

The lists of table names is not expensive and should be checked for your own use and tested to satisfy that a backup is being made of the required data. I DO NOT OFFER ANY KIND OF guarantee this will suffice, it is a starting point to aid your own setup.

phpAMA:
----------

Code: Select all

$table_select[0]="pama_logins";
$table_select[1]="pama_members";
$table_select[2]="pama_phpbb_user_ids";
(the above tables do not include changes or additions made within phpAMA admin)

phpBB:
--------
If you have a large forum then you can split the tables to be backed up in to 2 separate files:
file1.php

Code: Select all

$table_select[0]="phpbb3_posts_text";
$table_select[1]="phpbb3_posts";
$table_select[2]="phpbb3_groups";

file2.php:

Code: Select all

$table_select[0]="phpbb3_topics";
$table_select[1]="phpbb3_topics_watch";
$table_select[2]="phpbb3_users";
$table_select[3]="phpbb3_user_group";

(the above tables do not include changes or additions made within phpBB admin)

osCommerce:
----------------
Main end user records:
---------------------------

Code: Select all

$table_select[0]="address_book";
$table_select[1]="customers";
$table_select[2]="customers_info";
$table_select[3]="orders";
$table_select[4]="orders_products";
$table_select[5]="orders_products_attributes";
$table_select[6]="orders_products_download";
$table_select[7]="orders_status";
$table_select[8]="orders_status_history";
$table_select[9]="orders_total";
$table_select[10]="reviews";
$table_select[11]="reviews_description";

Admin records:
-----------------

Code: Select all

$table_select[0]="categories";
$table_select[1]="categories_description";
$table_select[2]="products";
$table_select[3]="products_attributes";
$table_select[4]="products_attributes_download";
$table_select[5]="products_description";
$table_select[6]="products_notifications";
$table_select[7]="products_options";
$table_select[8]="products_options_values";
$table_select[9]="products_options_values_to_products_options";
$table_select[10]="products_to_categories";
(the above tables do not include changes or additions made within osC admin)

phpJobScheduler

Code: Select all

$table_select[0]="phpjobscheduler";
$table_select[1]="phpjobscheduler_logs";

Using phpMySQLAutobackup table_exclude

phpBB
Tables you do not need to backup are:
phpbb3_search_results
phpbb3_search_wordlist
phpbb3_search_wordmatch
phpbb3_sessions
phpbb3_sessions_keys

DO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE a backup of the structure though.

So you can use the phpMySQLAutobackup exclude feature to do this:

Code: Select all

$table_exclude[0]="phpbb3_search_results";
$table_exclude[1]="phpbb3_search_wordlist";
$table_exclude[2]="phpbb3_search_wordmatch";
$table_exclude[3]="phpbb3_sessions";
$table_exclude[4]="phpbb3_sessions_keys";

Hope that helps you :-)

All the best
